This privacy policy explains how WebCheck360 ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website (webcheck360.com) and Chrome extension.

Chrome Extension

The WebCheck360 Chrome extension is designed with privacy at its core. All analysis happens locally on your device – we do not collect, transmit, or store any data from your browsing activity.

Permissions explained:

  • activeTab – Allows the extension to analyse the page you're currently viewing. It cannot access any other tabs or browsing history.
  • scripting – Enables the extension to run analysis scripts on the current page to extract SEO, accessibility, and performance data.
  • storage – Saves your preferences (such as theme selection) locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.

The extension does not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, or any other user data. Nothing is sent to our servers or any third party.


Website

When you visit webcheck360.com, we collect some information to help us understand how people use the site and to fix technical issues.

Analytics and error monitoring

We use the following services:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) – Tracks website usage such as pages visited, time on site, and general traffic patterns.
  • PostHog – Provides product analytics to help us understand user journeys and improve the website.
